Below are 3D recordings of the sounds of the Panamanian rainforest at night. They were made by Red Clark (Red Clark Films) along Pipeline Road in Soberanía National Park during the production of our EIA program in 2023. Red used a "head microphone" which is designed to record sound as a human brain would perceive it. Be sure to listen with headphones to get the full 3D effect. Listen for howler monkeys, frogs, nocturnal birds, and the serene pitter patter of raindrops descending from the canopy. Close your eyes and you will be transported to the jungle!
